Storebælt’s rail line is open 24/7, 365 days a year. The line can cope with most weather conditions (rain, wind and winter conditions).
High winds from the North West and North East (20 – 25m per second) may result in speed reductions from 180 km per hour to 80–120 km per hour. The number of electric trains for freight and passengers may also be reduced.
Storebælt’s rail section will not be closed to diesel-powered passenger trains.
