Policy for Road Safety
Sund & Bælt's objective is to ensure that its motorway sections are open 365 days a year, that traffic flows smoothly and safely and that road users enjoy high service levels.
The risk of traffic accidents is minimised through proactive measures aimed at making Sund & Bælt's motorways at least as safe as other motorways in Denmark.
This will be achieved by ensuring that:
• weather and traffic conditions are continually monitored and essential information is speedily delivered to motorists through a well-functioning information system.
• the traffic facility as well as maintenance, road operations and winter services are designed to prevent accidents
• all traffic accidents are carefully analysed to identify areas of improvement to S&B's management and facilities
• S&B continually strives to influence motorists’ behaviour
• S&B gathers information about customers’ views on road safety
As a key transport supplier, S&B encourages its employees and partners to take a lead in the field of traffic safety and demonstrate appropriate, safe and considerate traffic behaviour when using vehicles with S&B or Storebælt’s logos or moving around on S&B’s traffic facilities.
