All maintenance tasks at Storebælt’s rail section are outsourced.

Some of these tasks, track position measurements, ultrasound measurements, rail grinding of track and points are outsourced in collaboration with Banedanmark. The most important maintenance tasks are:

  • Manning of the SRO – C at Korsør Station (the Control, Regulating and Monitoring Centre).  Monitors all engineering installations and alerts police and other authorities in the event of an accident.
  • Rail operations relating to cleaning and slippery surface prevention at Korsør and Nyborg stations. Erection of speed indicators and balises as part of maintenance tasks.
  • Maintenance, including monitoring and inspection of signalling, remote control, telephony, radio, profiling, catenary system and tracks.
