The Saaremaa Fixed Link, Estonia

10 km fixed link between the mainland and the island of Saaremaa. The objective was to identify the most feasible solution for the fixed link between the mainland and Saare County. Partner has been engaged in providing advice to the Ministry of Economic Affairs through the Road Directorate on environmental, traffic economy, financial and execution issues and providing Terms of References for future steps.

Immersed Tunnel at Porto Garibaldi, Italy

The Province of Ferrara has plans to construct an immersed roadway tunnel at Porto Garibaldi. The tunnel will replace an existing bridge which is a part of the route SS309, Romea between Venezia and Ravenna allowing development opportunities in coastal area. The tunnel is planned to contain two roadway lanes and a bicycle path in each direction. Partner has provided advisory service to the Province of Ferrara.

Citytunneln, Sweden

The 17 km long Citytunneln connects the Øresund link with the Central railway station in the City of Malmö. The tunnel has considerably enhanced the efficiency of rail services for passengers and freight in Malmö. Partner has been responsible for tasks relating to planning, tender documents, strategy, design and geo-technology

The Qatar Bahrain causeway, Qatar Bahrain

In the Middle East the world's longest fixed link is planned between Qatar and Bahrain. Partner has primarily been involved in advising the Consultants on the planning of the toll stations and the customs and immigration facilities using the experience gained on the Great Belt and Øresund links.

Tunnel in Vera Cruz, Mexico

The state of Vera Cruz in Mexico has planned a concrete immersed road tunnel under the Coatzacoalcos River near the Gulf of Mexico. Drawing on the experience from the Øresund Tunnel, Partner has assisted the consulting engineering firm, GROUPO BM in the initial phase of the project with regard to timetabling and technical requirements.

Tunnel under Bosphorus, Turkey

 A Japanese financed project creates Turkey's first rail link between Europe and Asia under the Strait of Bosphorus in Istanbul. The project centres on an approximately 2 km long immersed tunnel 75m below sea level. At each end of the immersed tunnel, bored tunnels will connect the rail line to Turkey's existing rail network. Partner has provided technical, strategic and organizational consultancy to the Supervising Consultant.

Subiyah Causeway, Kuwait

A feasibility study has been carried out on a 22 km long bridge that will connect Kuwait City with the development region Subiyah. The Danish companies COWI, DHI, Dissing + Weitling and Partner have participated in the study together with local companies. Partner has assisted the Consultant with the economic and financial studies.

The Preveza-Aktio Tunnel, Greece

The Preveza-Aktio Tunnel in Greece opened for traffic in July 2002. Partner has assisted the Owner TEO-AKTOR JV in the planning of their Operation and Maintenance tasks.

The Messina Strait, Italy

A 3 km suspension bridge connecting Sicily with the Italian mainland has been planned. Partner has assisted COWI in project engineering, specifically Operation and Maintenance issues.
